House cellar tours
Ideally located at 3 rue du Marc, in a quiet pedestrian alley in the heart of the historic centre, Le 3 is more than just an address: it embodies the bold spirit of the Champagne House! The Thiénot family finally opens its doors to enthral those seeking a refreshing way to discover this prestigious wine and the rich splendours of the region.
From the moment you arrive, the elegant façade, restored meticulously in keeping with Champagne heritage, promises a truly memorable experience. Spanning an impressive 5,000m², the new premises are the result of an ambitious architectural project where subtle contemporary style meets tradition, all the while showcasing local craftsmanship. The various spaces constructed from local Saint-Pierre-Aigle limestone and French oak create a warm, authentic atmosphere bathed in natural light.
And once inside, the ground floor immediately leads to a tree-lined cloister with an open interior garden; sure to whet your wine appetite set against a tranquil, lush setting unique to Reims.

interactive Journey for the whole family
Like a true voyage back to traditional times, you are invited to wander and discover our Champagne heritage, the history of the House as told by Alain Thiénot, and the secrets of this effervescent wonder unlike any other sparkling wine in the world. An oversized model of a vine serves to illustrate the vineyard growth cycle, while an animated map identifies the major wine-producing areas in Champagne. The “Wall of Curiosities” showcases antique tools, historic bottles and unusual objects associated with champagne production. A sleek, interactive “factory” exhibit brings the winemaking process to life.
This interactive tour is suitable for young and old alike, and includes a dedicated area for younger visitors, including a fun, play area.

A deep dive into the depths and grandeur of the wine cellars
Once your reservation confirmed, a guided tour will take you underground through nearly a kilometre of historic galleries. A spectacular vat room awaits, soaring some 10m high, before visiting the Vinothèque wine museum which serves as a true sanctuary to showcase Champagne Thiénot’s artisan craft over the years. This innovative, hour-long tour is punctuated by immersive workshops, audiovisual screenings, soundscapes and artistic installations, for a true understanding of the key stages of Thiénot’s champagne production process, including riddling, disgorgment and more. A packed programme of captivating, multi-sensory experiences in every sense!

The tour continues with a tutored tasting workshop led by our experienced and passionate guides, including two of Thiénot’s signature cuvées, revealing their subtle aromatics, structure and all-important effervescence. Visitors will receive a host of top tips on food and wine pairings, the optimum time to enjoy the wines, ideal serving temperature and the most suitable glassware to enhance the tasting experience.
The tour culminates in our boutique, where our Origine, Famille and Special Release collections are available to buy, along with an exclusive selection of rare vintages. And because enjoying our champagnes is all part of the French art de vivre, our boutique also offers a carefully curated range of products from selected partners, elegant glassware and other desirable items.
